Notice of privacy

In accordance with the provisions of Article 15 of the Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties, LAB-CO, built by the non-profit civil association Laboratorio de Soluciones Colaborativas de Políticas Públicas A.C., makes the following privacy notice available to you.

Laboratorio de Soluciones Colaborativas de Políticas Públicas A.C. is responsible for the use and protection of the personal data and sensitive data shared with it. In this regard, and in compliance with the legal obligations established in the Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (hereinafter, “LFPDPPP”) and its Regulations, this instrument informs data subjects of the information collected from them and the purposes for which such information will be used.

The processing of personal data will be carried out with due legal protection and confidentiality, and will be used solely to provide the professional services requested by our clients who are the data subjects, and for billing purposes; such data will not be transferred to any third party, except in the cases established under Article 36 of the LFPDPPP.

By providing your Personal Data and Sensitive Data in writing, through a request made verbally or orally, in paper format, digital format, email, or any other means of communication, you accept and authorize Laboratorio de Soluciones Colaborativas de Políticas Públicas A.C. to use and process your personal and sensitive data provided in an automated manner, which will become part of our database. The Processing of Personal Data will have the following purposes, stated by way of example and not limitation: identification, location, and contact; entry and exit registration at facilities; registration in various databases depending on your nature as a contact, visitor, supplier, provider of professional services, lessor, lessee, sublessor, sublessee, beneficiary, donor, sponsor, provider of social service or professional internships, volunteer, or employee; preparation of contracts, agreements, understandings, letters of responsibility, or commitment letters, or any other document; preparation and compilation of files depending on their nature; verification of the Data Subject’s information; completion of forms and/or documents; provision of the services, products, and information requested; communication regarding changes to the same; compilation and, where applicable, updating of a Directory of suppliers, providers of professional services, lessors, lessees, sublessors, sublessees, beneficiaries, sponsors, donors, volunteers, among others; sending of physical or electronic correspondence; generation of a registry of beneficiaries, sponsors, donors, or volunteers, as applicable; statistical purposes; study, analysis, and research purposes; completion of image-use authorizations; issuance of the corresponding Digital Tax Receipt (CFD) for payment purposes; sending of information to the Data Subject on behalf of the Association itself or of funders, governments, or companies that support the Association; transfer to third parties when strictly necessary; as well as any other purpose analogous to those set forth herein.

For the aforementioned purposes, Laboratorio de Soluciones Colaborativas de Políticas Públicas A.C. may collect and, where applicable, process the following personal data: first name(s), paternal surname, maternal surname, date of birth, place of birth, home address and/or office address and/or tax address, landline and/or mobile phone number, email address, nationality, gender, marital status, occupation, federal taxpayer registry number (RFC), unique population registry code (CURP), professional career, university or school of graduation, professional license number, specialty, postgraduate degree, master’s degree, doctorate, university or school of graduation for the specialty, postgraduate degree, master’s or doctoral degree, credit or debit card number for donations, name of the banking institution, credit or debit card expiration date, branch number, bank account number, interbank CLABE number for making deposits, among others. Sensitive Personal Data may include racial or ethnic origin, present or future health status, genetic information, religious, philosophical, and moral beliefs, union affiliation, political opinions, or sexual preference.

Other personal data, sensitive and non-sensitive, not included in the lists above may also be processed, provided that such data are considered to be of the same nature and are not excessive in relation to the purposes for which they are collected.

The Data Subject’s Personal Data and Sensitive Personal Data will be kept in strict confidentiality, in accordance with the administrative, technical, and physical security measures that Laboratorio de Soluciones Colaborativas de Políticas Públicas A.C. implements in its privacy policies and procedures, and their unlawful disclosure to third parties is prohibited and their use by third parties is limited.

By providing your personal and sensitive data to Laboratorio de Soluciones Colaborativas de Políticas Públicas A.C., you are presumed to fully accept the content of this Privacy Notice.

Such data will be held for an indefinite period from the date you provide them to us, and you may object to their handling at any time. At any time, the Data Subject may revoke the consent granted to Laboratorio de Soluciones Colaborativas de Políticas Públicas A.C. for the processing of their Personal Data and/or Sensitive Personal Data, so that the Association ceases to use such data. If the objection request is deemed appropriate, Laboratorio de Soluciones Colaborativas de Políticas Públicas A.C. will stop handling your Personal Data without any liability on our part.

The data subject has the right to: know what personal data we hold about you, for what purposes we use it, and the conditions under which we use it (Access); to request the correction of your personal information if it is outdated, inaccurate, or incomplete (Rectification); to have your information deleted from our records or databases when you consider that it is not being used appropriately (Cancellation); and to object to the use of your personal data for specific purposes (Objection). These rights are known as ARCO rights. Likewise, the data subject may limit the use or disclosure of their personal data and revoke any consent granted for the processing of their personal data, provided that the processing is not necessary or does not result from a legal relationship.

To exercise any of the ARCO rights, the relevant request must be submitted via the following email address: contacto@lab-co.org, meeting the requirements set forth in Article 28 of the LFPDPPP.

In all cases, a response to the request will be provided within twenty days from the date the ARCO rights request was received, in accordance with Article 31 of the LFPDPPP.

Please note that we may not be able to address your request or discontinue use immediately in all cases, pursuant to Article 25 of the LFPDPPP. Likewise, you should consider that, for certain purposes, revoking your consent will mean that we can no longer provide the service you requested or that our relationship with you will end.

Likewise, you may request information to learn about the procedure and requirements for revoking consent, as well as for limiting the use and disclosure of your personal information. In any case, a response to such requests will be provided within a period of 15 business days.

This privacy notice may be modified, changed, or updated as a result of new legal requirements; our own needs regarding the products or services we offer; our privacy practices; changes to our business model; or other causes.
